Event Details
Marking the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, this landmark exhibition at The King’s Gallery within Buckingham Palace celebrates the late Queen’s extraordinary fashion legacy. Featuring around 200 garments and accessories worn across all ten decades of her life, many on display for the first time, the exhibition traces her journey from childhood and early royal life to her reign as Britain’s longest serving monarch.
From iconic couture gowns and elegant eveningwear to classic country outfits and instantly recognisable coats, the exhibition reveals how fashion played a vital role in the Queen’s public and private life. Visitors will also see original sketches, fabric samples and personal notes, offering a fascinating insight into the craftsmanship and symbolism behind one of the most important fashion collections of the twentieth century. Before heading to Buckingham Palace, the trip includes a stop in Covent Garden for free time, giving guests the chance to enjoy lunch or explore the vibrant area at leisure.
