At Anne of Cleves House, discover Tudor and Elizabethan life inside this beautifully preserved 15th-century home, once given to Henry VIII’s fourth wife. Wander through the atmospheric rooms and peaceful Tudor-style garden filled with herbs and fruit trees.
Then visit Lewes Castle, a striking Norman fortress built soon after the Battle of Hastings. Climb to the top of The Keep for stunning views across Sussex, and explore the adjoining Museum of Sussex Archaeology, where fascinating artefacts tell the story of Lewes through the ages.
