A number of bus services across Sittingbourne and Sheppey are due to change. This is to reflect current traffic conditions and changes in usage. Rushenden and Queenborough will benefit from a new link.
- 360 Sheerness to Leysdown– Some minor timetable alterations. Eastchurch prisons will not be served on a Saturday due to negligible usage. Journeys that currently serve the prisons on Saturdays will remain and operate directly to and from Leysdown.
- 361 Sheerness to Rushenden and Queenborough– This service will operate at school times only with off peak journeys withdrawn. During the day the 361 will be replaced by the new 335 service
- 334/335 Sittingbourne to Sheerness. – Some daytime journeys on service 334 to be diverted via Rushenden and Queenborough and operate as anew 335 service to replace off-peak journeys on service 361. Residents from these areas will benefit from a direct connection to Sittingbourne, whilst retaining access to Sheerness. The 335 journeys will operate via Halfway, and will not use The Broadway and Marine Parade.
The 334/335 service is provided using funding from central governments Bus Grant under the Kent County Council’s Bus Service Improvement Plan. This funding has been used by Kent County Council to protect and sustain a significant number of previously unfunded services across the county.
- 350/351/352/353Sheppey to Sittingbourne Schools – Some minor timetable changes. The 353 will also serve Queenborough, providing access to Westlands School.
- 326/327/328 Sittingbourne to Chatham– The 1515 from The Sittingbourne School will no longer operate due to a lack of demand.
There are minor timetable changes to other services, including the 347 Kemsley to Sittingbourne, the 349 Murston to Sittingbourne, the 362 Sheerness to West Minster.
A number of Adult and Youth 11-19 ticket prices will increase to refelct escalating costs, including the employers National Insurance changes. Family Day tickets will be discontinued, and we are launching a new Group Day ticket, where up to five people can travel together.

Fares from 22nd April
Chalkwell are still participating in the Government’s £3 single fare cap, which is the maximum customers will pay for any standalone single trip. The rest of our tickets represent considerable savings for regular users.
