GoCard is all the Go

Commuters have been quick off the mark to snap up Chalkwell GoCards, a smart card ticketing system which has been introduced on their services into London.

From the word go we have been overwhelmed with requests for GoCards to the point where we have had to re-order more stock,” said Chalkwell’s Commercial Director Roland Eglinton.

Because it is new technology commuters have been keen to embrace it,” said Roland.  “The multi journey tickets in particular have proven to be a hit, they only purchase for the exact amount of travel they need to make.

This particularly suits people who only travel to work in London three or four days a week.  GoCard resonates with their lifestyle,” he added.

Commuters can top up their Chalkwell GoCard on line and buy extra credit whenever they need it.

Chalkwell believe they are one of the first in the independent travel sector to adopt a smart card ticketing system for the commuter coach and have worked closely with Ticketer to provide customers with this opportunity.

Chalkwell operate daily commuter coach services from Sittingbourne, Medway, Maidstone, Kings Hill and the surrounding areas.
