Your countryside retreat in Cheshire offers the perfect base for your uplifting tour of the stunning attractions that this remarkable county has to offer. You will visit Tatton Park and enjoy four attractions in one – the Mansion, Gardens, Farm and Old Hall. Dunham Massey House is an 18th century National Trust property set within 3,000 acres of beautiful parkland. Inside the House you will discover 300 years of family history (some of which is delightfully scandalous!) and a remarkable collection of possessions amassed over the last few centuries. If time allows you can also explore the gardens and deer park. Also included are visits to The Lion Salt Works and Anderton Boat Lift. In 1894, Henry Ingram Thompson constructed the ‘Lion Salt Works’ consisting of a series of pan and stove houses that were operated here for almost 100 years…. you will go on a journey of discovery through a series of original buildings that bring life as a salt miner to life! You will also visit the historic Anderton Boat Lift where you’ll experience the lift first hand in a glass covered boat on a 30 minute voyage! There’s also plenty of time to relax at the hotel where you can make the most of the facilities on offer.
The modern 4-star Park Royal hotel is located within the stunning Cheshire countryside. The hotel itself blends a beautiful mix of modern facilities with elegant grandeur. The bar and restaurant are both large, spacious and well furnished, as are the 146 modern bedrooms, all of which are equipped with hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The leisure facilities at The Park Royal are extensive and comprise an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, steam room and gym.
