The beautiful village of Brockworth is your base for this Cotswold holiday. Brockworth itself is famous for the annual cheese rolling competition but there’s no cheese on this holiday! You will be visiting Hidcote Manor Garden, one of England’s great ‘Arts & Crafts’ gardens, famous for its rare trees and shrubs, herbaceous borders and unusual plants from all over the world. Free time in Chipping Campden to explore this lovely town in the Cotswolds is also included. You will also get the chance to travel on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway through the beautiful Cotswold countryside to Cheltenham Racecourse where you will be met and transferred to Painswick Rococo Gardens, a unique 18th garden. Contemporary buildings and theatrically designed gardens offer the perfect spot to enjoy stunning views of the Cotswold countryside. The Medieval town of Tewkesbury offers a picturesque riverside setting. You will visit ‘Out of the Hat’, an exquisite example of a 17th Century home and shop that now houses a heritage centre. A short stroll along Church Street brings you to the beautiful 12th Century Tewkesbury Abbey. Built in 1121 the Abbey’s long nave and large Romanesque tower are certainly distinguishing features.
The Cheltenham Chase Hotel is a luxurious 4-star hotel set in 15 acres of private grounds on the edge of the picturesque Cotswold Hills. The hotel is a contemporary and sophisticated haven with 116 elegant rooms, each equipped with hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Hardy’s Restaurant and Hunters Bar and Lounge are both spacious, open plan areas with fantastic views over the surrounding hills, and there is also a sumptuous spa area, indoor swimming pool, steam room and spa bath.
